World Renowned Children's Hospital seeking Customer Service Rep for the Collections Dept.
Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:30
$17 Per Hour, Paid weekly
The Customer Service Specialist I will identify accounts with a self pay balance after insurance has paid & those without insurance & will collect on those accounts. The incumbent will assist the families with financial assistance applications. The incumbent will work with families to establish payment plans in accordance with hospital policy & monitor the payment plans for compliance. The Customer Service Specialist I will receive incoming telephone calls & assist families with information pertaining to their accounts understanding statements & previous insurance payments. Incumbent will check Medi-Cal eligibility apply share of costs & update accounts with insurance information. The Customer Service Specialists will receive patient complaints in regards to billing & take appropriate action based upon policy & procedures.
- Must be bilingual/Spanish speaking
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 Years of Medical Insurance experience
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work a contract to perm position
