Essential Functions:
-Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, Core Charge RN, and Core Supervisor, the Sterile Processing Technician prepares and delivers medical/surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
-The Sterile Processing Technician cleans, packages, and processes surgical equipment and instrumentation, as well as maintains inventory and storage of supplies in the core.
-The Sterile Processing Technician manages multiple computer applications to assist with sterilization tracking and processes.
Required Education:
-High School diploma or GED.
Certifications & Licensure:
-Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certification as a Central Processing Technician (CRCST) within 18 months of hire.
-Must be 18 years of age prior to start date. Travelers will need active license prior to start date.
