Description

The Occupational Therapist II assesses individual patients Occupational Therapy needs and then establishes and implements an occupation-based treatment program and goals, using the therapeutic use of everyday activities to develop, regain, or improve the skills needed for daily living in the home, community, workplace, school and other settings.

-Develops and modifies treatment programs to meet the changing needs of the patient.
-Oversees the clinical work of the Occupational Therapy Assistant and Rehabilitation Aide.
-Manages multiple patients at the same time.
-Provides services and required documentation in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
-Participates in outside continuing education and incorporates information into practice.
-Performs other dues as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:
-Eighteen (18) months experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute healthcare system environment.
-Experience with a range of diagnoses including general medicine, orthopedics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary.
-Acute Rehabilitation Unit: Demonstrates competency in Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Quality Reporting Program (IRF QRP).
-May require travel to patent’s home for home evaluation.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-Completes mandatory stroke specific education requirements for certification.
-Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of California.
-Current BLS Certificatio
