JOB SUMMARY Repairs selected equipment and structure of office buildings, primary care centers, ambulatory surgery center, and houses converted to office use. Conducts preventive maintenance and safety inspections of selected equipment including those required by the Joint Commission. Assist outside contractors and service personnel during construction and repair. Sets up rooms in conference center for scheduled meetings, provides beverages as requested, is knowledgeable about and trains users on the A/V systems, handles routine maintenance of prep kitchen equipment and works with office assistant to clarify conference room scheduling.

Performs a variety of skilled maintenance tasks including repairs to doors, windows, roofs and other building parts; assists in assembling furniture and other wood and metal structures; installs and maintains master locking systems, keying programs, and logs; repairs electrical components including replacement of ballasts, bulbs, fixtures; tests circuits; clears plumbing clogs and replaces various plumbing components.

Performs or coordinate emergency repairs to building systems.

Performs daily checks and inspections of exterior lighting, grounds and irrigation systems.

Assists contractors when access to buildings is needed.

Schedules routine and emergency maintenance of van. (If one is assigned for his/her use).

Update various documents including work orders related to labor and/or materials

As requested by Property Manager and Lead Maintenance Technician. Obtains bids for projects for approval.

Must be available for emergency call back and standby duty.

Maintains good record of attendance and punctuality by reporting to work as scheduled, utilizing the Kronos timecard system. Adhere to department limits contained in policies and procedures.

Actively participates in on-going training to maintain, update and add knowledge to her/his personal skill and knowledge inventory.

Utilizes computerized work order system.

Responsible for maintenance of conference center furniture and room partitions.          

Notifies Property Manager & Lead Maintenance technician of A/V equipment needing repair or maintenance.

Licensure: Must possess a valid California Driver’s License as duties include driving on NorthBay’s behalf. A clean driving record is required evidenced by annual submittal to the Property & Facilities Manager of DMV driving record.

Experience: 2-3 years’ experience trouble shooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems. Experience in hospitality and healthcare industries helpful.

Skills: Has basic working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel computer programs. Must know how to conduct internet searches. Familiar with hand and power tools, able to read blueprints. Must be able to move, lift and deliver light furniture as needed. Knowledge of plumbing and electrical. Follow safety and infection control procedures.
